The Deep End

I have always been someone who strongly dislikes being in the deep end. Not feeling grounded and being unaware of my own surroundings always leaves me feeling daunted and frightened of what may happen.

Perhaps you’re someone like me who is unwilling to go into the deep end, and would rather stick to remaining in familiar waters. Without a doubt, God can place us into the deep end to build and strengthen our faith, but He does not neglect us and leave us there.

When we are faced with uncomfortable situations and go into the deep end, He promises to walk right beside us and develop us into being who He intended for us to be, christlike and filled with His love. God does not just toss us into the deep end to see whether we will survive or how we will get out; He builds our character to walk in obedience with His Word to become more bold, grounded and unshaken in faith.

‘Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.’ Deuteronomy 31:6
