Led By His Love

God’s love for us is at the heart of the gospel. Our love for God will show a love for people. By having a heartfelt desire to build and encourage others, we can reflect Jesus at work in our lives by putting others before our wants and needs.

‘Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others before yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others.’ Philippians 2:3

When we misinterpret the true meaning of love, we can find it extremely difficult to love others. Love is often thought to be a mere emotional response which is based on feelings. However, feelings can change, and we serve a Heavenly Father who never changes and always remains the same. (Hebrews 13:8)

‘Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.’ Ephesians 5:1

We should take note of how God does not command us to feel love towards others, but make this an important part of how we live our lives. During these challenging and difficult times, it is important that we remember how much God loves us and we are led by His love.

  1. Imagine doing all that you’ve stated loving them unconditionally and putting them first even to your detriment. Serving them everyday and then bam!!!!! They spit in your face, betray you, break your heart.
You help them up and they basically throw you off the cliff ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Looking them in the face and loving them all over again is one very huge mountain! Yet it must be climbed!

Without Jesus’s help (grace) it can be nigh impossible to contemplate talk less of doing it.

spent the year trying to crawl back up the mountain. By his grace we keep climbing! But there are days it ain’t easy ….

    Thanks for the reminder….very timely.

    1. Thanks for your response! ๐Ÿ™ŒThatโ€™s a really good point but I guess thatโ€™s why He is God and we are not. โœ๏ธ๐Ÿ’•He knows we are bound to sin due to our fallen human nature, yet he is unchanging in His love for us. ๐Ÿ’•โœ๏ธAs God loved us first, we should want to glorify Him, and not feel like itโ€™s a chore we have to complete unless God will not love us back. We should be led by His love ๐Ÿ‘โœ๏ธ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’•
